As a retired Lithographer trained in the art of cartography, I bring over 22 years of experience where I reproduced photos for newspapers and fine art magazines. From there my passion has been concentrated on moving from using a single plane 16"X20" process camera to using a 35mm single lens reflex camera in producing High Dynamic Range photos of various subjects for canvas prints. You will notice that my goal is to capture as much texture and detail in landscape photos as possible. This desire comes from years of reproducing photos and art work for print that required maintaining the artist's fine lines and detail presented in the original art. When I arrived in Nevada, I found, as others have, that the desert offers a beautiful landscape of mountains, rock formation and foliage that captures the eye. Capturing this beauty in seven exposure HDR reveals the limitations of a single exposure that simply can't capture scenes the way the human eye does.
